OSART Mission to Kozloduy NPP plc

At the invitation of the government of the Republic of Bulgaria, an OSART (Operational Safety Review Team) Mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was conducted to Kozloduy NPP plc in the period from 26 November to 13 December 2012. Upon completion of the peer review, all recommendations and suggestions of the IAEA international expert team were carefully reviewed and analysed by the Plant management.
In accordance with the Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) programme, eighteen months later, in the period 23 – 27 June 2014, an IAEA team conducted a follow-up peer review (OSART FOLLOW-UP Mission) to assess the progress of the Plant in respect of the recommendations and suggestions from the OSART Mission of 2012. The international expert team gave a high rating to the actions taken by Kozloduy NPP plc and their effective implementation. The results of the follow-up peer review confirmed that the Plant operational practices were in accordance with the IAEA safety standards as well as with the best international practices.
The results of the OSART Mission to Kozloduy NPP plc conducted in 2012 and of the follow-up peer review (OSART FOLLOW-UP) conducted in 2014 are presented in the final "REPORT of the OPERATIONAL SAFETY REVIEW TEAM (OSART) MISSION to the KOZLODUY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, BULGARIA, 26 November to 13 December 2012 AND FOLLOW-UP MISSION to the KOZLODUY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, BULGARIA, 23 – 27 June 2014."
